Klitbo FN-226 – a collaboration that has lasted generations
Thomas Christiansen has acquired Emmely Pilegaard of Skagen. He has renamed it Klitbo and ordered a major renovation. “My father was also a skipper and he always did business with Hanstholm Skibssmedie/North Sea Yard with Jesper Pedersen’s father, Mogens Pedersen. I’m continuing the collaboration by working with Jesper,” says Thomas Christiansen. “The quality and level of service is high, and I can’t get better advice anywhere else. This is why it’s been natural to continue with the excellent collaboration, which is very much built on many years of mutual trust.”
The major renovation of the trawler includes:
- Manufacture and installation of a new wheelhouse with galley and toilet, and a toilet on deck.
- Installation of a new Mitsubishi main engine and Hundested bow thruster.
- Installation of a new processing deck and renovation of the bulk.
- Modification of the stern and net drum.
- Complete painting of the ship
The newly renovated trawler now has much greater capacity and is a much more effective ship.
The order was actually agreed on at DanFish 2017 in Aalborg
